FEES
Our accounting system is designed for immediate payment at the time of consultation. This can be by Cash, Eftpos, Credit Card or Cheque. The practice will facilitate your Medicare rebate to be paid directly to your nominated bank account if you have registered your bank account details with Medicare. Information on this at https://www.humanservices.gov.au/customer/subjects/medicare-services
Information on the cost of consultations can be provided by the Receptionist with an estimation of out of pocket ( gap) expenses . The General Practitioners at this Practice work as Individuals and independently set their own fees. The fees do not generally exceed the recommended fees of the Australian Medical Association (AMA) – the fees are regarded as being fair and reasonable for the services provided.
Potential Workers Compensation and Third Party matters need to be identified at first contact as they are not billable to Medicare – different item number must be used. The appointment contract is with you. Settlement should be made in the usual manner and then you make the claim to the insurer.
We are not a “bulk bill” practice but do discount fees for certain groups of pensions and some Health Care Card holders. Please discuss with your Doctor if you have a problem.
