This practice provides administrative services to attract Tenant doctors to provide medical services to Hilltops Community

Opening Hours

Monday to Friday : 08.30 – 17.00 (by appointment)
Saturday: 9.00 – 10.30 (no booked appointments)
Closed on Sundays and Public Holidays

Services Provided

Tenant doctors will have individual interests, training and services they personally provide and provide referrals for .other requests.  It is anticipated that patients will be able to access a range of services and diagnostic facilities applicable to an Australian Accredited General Practice including:

  • Obstetrics
  • Antenatal care and confinements
  • Pregnancy Testing
  • Paediatrics
  • Sports Injuries
  • Cholesterol counselling
  • Vaccinations – including Q fever and COVID
  • Travel advice and vaccination
  • Yellow Fever Vaccination Centre
  • Women’s Health
  • Preventive Medicine
  • Fractures
  • Minor Surgical Procedures
  • Work Cover Medical Examinations
  • Rail Industry Worker medicals – railsafe.org.au
  • GP Management Plans for Chronic Disease and Team Care arrangements
  • GP Mental health Plans – can access Psychology Services under Medicare

Tenant Doctors may provide acute hospital based services at

  • Young Health Service including surgery, anaesthetics, geriatric assessment, obstetrics, emergency services and epidurals
  • Mercy Care Centre Young ; sub-acute care in Medicine, Assessment, Rehabilitation, Palliative Care.
  • Residential Aged Care Facilities:  Mercy Health Mt St Joseph’s Campus & Southern Cross Care.

Keeping yourself healthy

Help us keep you healthyAll adults should consider regular (1 to 2 yearly ) medical checkups that may include:

  • Urine test
  • Cardiovascular Risk review ( includes Lipids /Cholesterol)
  • Skin checks and advice
  • Immunisations & seek travel advice 3 months before departure
  • Blood pressure Check
  • Cancer checks or screening : may include Bowel, Breast , Cervical and Prostate based on age and Family History
  • Chlamydia Checks age 16 to 35

All emergencies are recommended to be attended at Young District Hospital. Please call 000 OR an Ambulance OR take the patient directly to the Accident & Emergency Department.

All after hours care is organised through the Accident and Emergency Department of Young District Hospital. People requiring after hours care are advised to attend the Accident and Emergency Department where you will be triaged by the Registered Nurse on Duty who may contact the Doctor on call.
